Dually Involved Youth (DIY) and Release Upon Request (RUR)

Dually Involved Youth (DIY) and Release Upon Request (RUR) programming is designed to serve youth who are involved in the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Department of Children and Family Services. This program focuses on reducing the recidivism rate of youth in care through various wraparound services.

NYAP collaborates with the state of Illinois to provide youth with intensive case coordination and timely access to evidence-based treatments in order to reduce time spent in institutional care, prevent repeat criminal behavior, and foster successful transitions into adulthood.

Youth in DIY/RUR are on probation or parole and may require special supervision, drug testing, and other court-ordered services
