Reunification & Permanency
At NYAP, we understand the importance of keeping families together by promoting a safe and nurturing environment for every child. When a child or youth is at risk of, or separated from their family, we provide an array of services to keep them in or return them to their home. When this is not possible, we help develop alternative permanency options including kinship care and adoption.
We ensure that the children and youth we serve can live in a secure and supportive environment that facilitates healing and growth. We strive to achieve reunification with their family, kinship caregiver, or adoptive family.
Our programs and services connect individuals and families with community and other valuable resources. We work collaboratively with families to reconnect and enhance connections to their natural support systems. We identify and build upon each family’s unique strengths while addressing their specific service needs.
