NYAP launched its Maryland program in 2022, bringing comprehensive youth and family services to the Old Line State. From our Silver Spring office in the District of Columbia metropolitan area, we provide personalized, community-based support to children, youth, and families, addressing each family's unique circumstances.

Foster care in Maryland utilizes effective, family-centered methods to support children and youth from varied backgrounds throughout the state. NYAP delivers evidence-based, culturally responsive care that meets each child and youth's developmental, emotional, physical, and cultural needs while connecting families to essential community resources and supports, as appropriate.

Foster parents receive comprehensive training and ongoing support focused on safety, trauma-informed care, and effective behavior management. As appropriate, foster parents also serve as primary family mentors, building constructive relationships, enhancing stability, and promoting lasting well-being and success for children and youth.
